Social Media Tips – What to write, or video, or post…

I was helping a client with her email newsletter the other day – walking her through the steps and getting ready to send – when we started talking about what to actually write in it. As we brainstormed, I realized one of the best sources of newsletter content is simply answering the questions your clients ask you all the time.

For me, people constantly want to know how to market their new website, how to handle SEO, or how long it takes for a site to get indexed – so those topics naturally make perfect content.

I was also watching a design channel on YouTube recently, and they made a great point about social media tips: clients don’t really want to learn how to design something—they want to see results. They want to see transformation. This involves presenting before-and-after images of a website, logo, or a complete brand refresh. It made perfect sense, because I’m not teaching graphic design… I’m doing it for them.

Now think about your own business:
What questions do your clients ask you over and over again? And how can you show the transformation that happens when they work with you?

Those two pieces – answering real questions and showing real results – are some of the best content you can create.
