How I have been using AI

I’ve been using AI in design, marketing, and SEO since early 2023, just a few months after it launched in November 2022. At first, I wasn’t sure how it would fit into my workflow, but over time, it’s become a useful tool in business strategy solutions. Here’s how I use it:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
When optimizing websites, I use ChatGPT to generate title and description tags. I still do my own keyword research with my SEO software, then tell ChatGPT the keyphrase I want to target, the character limit, and the general direction. It creates a title and then a description for the search engine results of that page. It saves me so much time!

AI in Design
Adobe Firefly, Adobe’s text-to-image tool, has been interesting to experiment with. I still prefer human-created images, but I’ve been able to turn AI-generated black-and-white images into vector graphics. I created a feather logo partly with AI as an AI-generated black-and-white feather. I imported it into Illustrator, used Image Trace to convert it to a vector, then applied a color gradient, and built the rest of the design myself.

AI & Copyright
Right now, AI-generated images aren’t subject to copyright restrictions, which makes them a great resource for creating graphics I can resell multiple times. AI isn’t replacing creativity—it’s just another tool that has helped me get things done easily.

Marketing and Product Ideas
I have been using it to generate ideas for marketing and new product ideas.  Many times, these are things I have not even thought of doing.

The downside?  I can always tell when an image or video has been created with AI.  Check out this adorable video of bunnies I found on Facebook. Guess what?  Strawberries and blueberries do NOT grow on trees and bunnies do not nurse their young on their backs like a cat!

Check out the video and have a laugh…
