The ruling that Google is a monopoly means that the company has too much control over online search and digital ads. Google uses its power to keep competitors out, by favoring its services in search results and making strict deals with partners. This decision could lead to changes in how Google does business and impact the entire tech industry.

BOOM: Judge Rules Google Is A Monopolist

I was thinking about how it could effect website design and marketing online. Websites may need to focus more on user experience and different search engines, rather than just optimizing for Google.  I think this has already happened. I for one am using Pinterest to get more traffic to my website than ever before, rather than just relying on Google search.
